Abstract

Thanks to one visionary initiative made in National Educational Policy-2020, there occurs a smooth blend of the Informal educational segment with the formal education provided by this Indian Education System. The National Educational Policy-2020 acted as an agency for paradigm shift towards Foundational Stage continues, which has a potential of dawning radical transformations in all Indian children who walk through there assuming that 3 years of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and Std 1-2 can transform all in all throughout India. In order to further emotional, social and cognitive development, there is a need for a constructive pedagogical order which helps create an effective teaching environment. Different types of pedagogical strategies are summoned to be held in the Foundational stage of learning and one such tool is Panchpadi learning strategy which is a five-shaped learning strategy that appears useful. The paper focuses upon the SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) analysis of the Panchpadi system. Also, the TOWS matrix method is used to explore the strategic prospects of augmenting the effectiveness of Panchpadi within the framework of NEP 2020. Through this, it aims at identifying the reasons that enable the implementation of Panchpadi in the manner that the educational objectives of the Foundational Stage are realized.
