The Perspective of University Teachers on Integrating Artificial Intelligence into the Classroom By Dr. Kowshik, M.C.

Abstract

This study focuses on university teachers’ perceptions of new technologies and how they see artificial intelligence (AI) being used in higher education. The field of artificial intelligence (AI) is fast changing education as well as other facets of society. With the potential to completely transform the way that education is delivered and learned, it is imperative to comprehend how educators feel about this disruptive technology. An extensive investigation comprising one hundred university teachers employed the Opinion Scale on Artificial Intelligence in Education to obtain significant information. The findings of the study indicate that most people have positive opinions of AI in education. This study emphasizes the need for greater use of AI in education, which makes an important contribution to the current conversation on the topic. The findings show that male university teachers are more receptive to the use of artificial intelligence than female university teachers, that science university teachers have more willing attitudes than arts university teachers, that more experienced university teachers have more accepting attitudes than less experienced teachers, and that central university teachers have more accepting attitudes than state university teachers.
