Abstract

Students are considered as the backbone of the nation as they are the next generation who can shape our Country.  High-stress levels and burnout are prevalent among Undergraduate students, leading to various consequences. Addressing perceived stress in the classroom is very essential in today’s educational scenario. Providing readily available counselling services, mindful programmes, and stress management workshops can equip students with coping mechanisms. The perceived stress among Undergraduate students was analysed using the standardized tool ‘The Perceived Stress Scale’. 100 samples were selected from Alappuzha District for the present study. The Convenience sampling method was used for sampling. The Undergraduate students include individuals between the ages of 18 and 22. It is inferred from the study that most of the students are under high stress due to many factors such as socio-economic, academic pressures etc. Meditation, Counselling etc can make a change in the mindset of students to an extent.
